Z-Laser ZFSM: with remote head and fibre feed

7 Mar 2013

Z-Laser, the Freiburg-based manufacturer of lasers has introduced a new laser with remote head and fibre feed.

ZFSM stands for "Z-Laser Fibre Single Mode“ - with this new platform Z-Laser opens the way for applications with extremely high demands on the optical quality of laser lines. Feed of the laser head via optical fibres and a well thought-out optical system allow lines with a thickness of only 5 µm (1/e²) and a virtually perfect cross sectional Gaussian distribution (M² = approx. 1.05). As an additional benefit, the remote head allows the use of these laser lights in machines with space restrictions.

Numerous projection lenses

Depending on the colour, blue, green, red and IR, the new lasers in the ZFSM series offer diodes with up to 50 mW output. In addition, a number of projection lenses such as Gauss or Powell lines as well as DOE's are available. Z-Laser offers the ZFSM laser for working distances from 20 to 120 mm, 100 to 2000mm, and over 2m. The fibre optics are included as standard at a length of 500 mm.
