Adlink: Frame Grabber - just in case

Our new Taiwanese partner Adlink offers a range of interesting acquisition cards. This newsletter introduces a couple of highlights.

The PCI Express x4 Frame Grabber GIE62+ by Adlink supports two power-over- Ethernet cameras and enables data transfer rates of up to 2 GBit/s with cables of up to 100 m long. The Link Aggregation configuration allows easy and cost- effective connection of network devices with double data rate. Some camera versions by Allied Vision technologies use this technology to allow very high frame rates.

The frame grabber GIE62+ is ideal for applications in the automation industry. It provides both two opto-isolated inputs and outputs as well as two programmable TTL outputs to trigger external devices such as strobe lights.

The best model when considering the connection of FireWire cameras is the FIW 64 frame grabber. This four-channel PCI-Express-FireWire grabber is suitable for high-speed machine vision applications and provides up to four ports for 1394b (FireWire800). This makes data rates of up to 3.2 GBit/s possible. Four opto-isolated, digital inputs and outputs, four programmable TTL-Trigger outputs, power supply via industrial IEEE1394b screw lock connectors as well as status LEDs for every channel ensure the maximum user-friendliness of these cards.

The FIW62 version functions with two channels and almost identical technology. This model is compatible to PCI Express x1 and enables data rates of up to 800 MBit/s.
